Year Four have been busy finishing their persuasive writing in English and moving swiftly on to instruction writing, which should take us nicely up Christmas and will work well with some festive recipes. The children have written some brilliant persuasive letters writing to local businesses asking for donations for our Christmas fayre. We shall wait to see how persuasive the children have been!
In maths we have been busy learning all about the 24-hour clock and converting 12-hour time into 24 hours. They have all worked hard to grasp this and we will move on to formal methods for multiplication and division next week.
Thank you to those who have already returned their Ufton Court permission slips, the children are all very excited!
We have been busy rehearsing for the Christmas production, and they have all been working hard to perfect their lines and song lyrics. We look forward to sharing our scene with you next week.
Please let me know if you would like a ‘brilliant book list’. I have given some out to parents who wanted some recommendations at parents’ evening. They are really useful and a real broad range of text.
