Welcome to Valley Road School  

Valley Road is a small, friendly primary school situated at the top of Henley-on-Thames in a safe and peaceful setting. As a single-form entry school, we are able to know every child as an individual while still offering a rich curriculum and a wide range of opportunities.

In March 2022, Ofsted described Valley Road as a place where “caring relationships lie at the heart” of the school and where pupils are “eloquent and zestful” learners who enjoy their education.

Valley Road has also received national recognition, being rated “Very Good” by The Telegraph 2025 and the only Henley primary school included in The Guardian’s nationwide ‘Top 200 Primary Schools’ 2025 list.

We are very proud of our school community and warmly welcome prospective families to visit and experience Valley Road for themselves.
