A wide range of clubs and activities are available at Valley Road to enrich pupils’ learning beyond the classroom.
These activities give children the opportunity to explore new interests, develop skills and build friendships with pupils from other year groups. Clubs vary throughout the year and may include sports, creative activities and other interests depending on staff and external providers.
Participation in clubs helps pupils build confidence, teamwork and independence, and is an important part of school life at Valley Road.
Further information about current clubs and how to sign up is shared with parents during the school year.
There is something for everyone! We welcome ideas and input from parents and other members of the community.

Valley Road offers wraparound care to support families who need childcare before or after the school day.
Breakfast Club
Our Breakfast Club is run by Valley Road staff and operates each morning from 8.00am to 8.50am. It provides a relaxed and welcoming start to the day where children can enjoy breakfast and social time with friends before lessons begin.
Bookings can be made in advance, or parents can book on an ad hoc basis, either in advance or by arriving on the day.
After School Club
Our after school provision is delivered by Get Active Sports, a well-established organisation that has been running breakfast, after school and holiday clubs across the local area for over 20 years.
Get Active Sports offers a wide range of fun, active sessions for children after the school day. Bookings are made through their easy-to-use online booking system, allowing parents to reserve places either in advance or on the day where spaces are available.
They also operate a staffed office until 6.30pm each weekday, so parents can contact them directly if they require assistance with bookings or have any questions.
