The inspection report highlighted the strong relationships within the school community and the positive attitudes of pupils towards their learning.

Inspectors noted that:

"Family is what springs to mind when observing how adults and pupils are together. Caring relationships lie at the heart of Valley Road."

Pupils were also described as “eloquent and zestful learners” whose behaviour is “impeccable.”
